Monroeville Main Street/ Anne Marie Bryan, Executive Director, the Small Business Development Center of Alabama (SBDC)/Yolanda Johnson, Business Advisor, and Main Street Alabama/Mary Helmer Wirth, President and State Coordinator have partnered to create B.U.O.Y. – a FREE Rural Youth Entrepreneur Program.

Monday, September 12, 2022- Team building, elevator speech /pitch then plan, business plan introduction, demographics and market assessment & workforce development.
October 10, 2022 - BAIL team – (Banker, Accountant, Insurance, & Legal) & Certifications
November 14, 2022- Deep Dive - Business Plans with the Small Business Development Center.
Monday, January 9, 2023 – Mentors, Marketing, Resources, plus Hiring the Right Employees, & Training.
Monday, February 13, 2023– Succession Planning, Self-Investment, Market overview and portfolio explanation and more.
Monday, March 13, 2023- Pitch Practice and Review of Materials - Set Final Review Appointments
Monday, April 10, 2023 - FINAL Review before Pitch Competition
Tuesday, April 11, 2023 – Pitch Competition & Awards - $3,500.00 in prizes
