Call for Artists: smART Moves in Monroe County Mural Trail
- Deadline: Monday, February19, 2021 4:00pm
- Budget: roughly $500.00 per mural
- Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older, artist teams are welcome to apply, multiple submissions are welcome and encouraged.
Monroe County’s ALProHealth Committee is seeking mural artists or collaborative mural teams to create outdoor, selfie-style murals throughout Monroe County. These small, not larger than 8ft x 8ft, murals will be painted throughout the county (communities and locations below). Community leaders have chosen mural themes they would be interested in for their communities and the committee would like to have artist inspired designs as well.
PROJECT DETAILS
Design submissions are due February 12, 2021, must be proportionate to the final project and should be submitted with an artist biography. Mural experience is not required and artist without mural experience should strongly consider submitting large scale design samples on “butcher paper” (available at the Chamber office). Multiple design submissions can be submitted by an individual artist but please be prepared to be able to complete ALL submissions within the time period allotted should they be chosen.
ALProHealth is funded through Alabama Extension at Auburn University. Therefore, all artist chosen must register as a Vendor for Auburn University BEFORE YOU BEGIN WORK Please note the vendor approval process can take a week or more. Registration details are below.
